In 2016, the Coalitions for Change (CfC) program assisted DepEd to develop an analytical system, procedures, and issued guidelines to purchase a land parcel to establish a new school. Two years after introducing the reform, 14 properties have been cumulatively purchased to build public schools on. This had the potential to accommodate some 57,000 students.
